There’s an amazing amount of choice out there when it comes to wireless speakers. Practically every manufacturer has an option, which lets you chose your favourite. But every now and then there’s a product that comes along that’s just a bit different and enticing.
Reviewing Bose Soundlink Revolve and Revolve+
The Bose Soundlink Revolve and Revolve+ are those speakers. With their unique cylindrical shape and black or white colour options they can really blend into your decor. Plus that cylinder isn’t just for looks; it allows the sound to pump out in all directions, meaning everyone in the room is sitting in the sweet spot.
I recently received a Revolve and a Revolve + for a few days of testing and review.
There are really minor differences between the two speakers. The Revolve is the smaller speaker. It’s lighter in weight and smaller in size overall. It also has a shorter battery life than its cousin. The Revolve + is obviously larger and more weighty, it also comes with a fabric wrapped carrying handle, and boasts a longer battery life up to 16 Hours, to the Revolve’s 12 hours.
Those differences aside, the two speakers operate identically and have all the same features. The control panel is on the top; there’s power and volume buttons as well as a button that will switch your input from wireless to auxiliary. There’s also what Bose calls a multifunction button. Pushing it will connect you to Siri or Google Now, though there is a bit of a delay from the time you push it until it connects to the phone, so requests can sometimes be a bit like having a bad long distance phone call.
