Download and Install Kaspersky Internet Security for Android Smartphones and Tablets

In this video we show you How to Download and Install Kaspersky Internet Security for Android Smartphones and Tablets

Kaspersky Internet Security is available on Google Play as a free download.

If you choose free download, you get most of the app's core functionality. Critical features such as real-time protection, Web protection, and anti phishing protection require a paid. There are 3 tiers of licenses.

Design of Kaspersky Internet Security is not groundbreaking, but it is straightforward. A large shield logo dominates the screen, and fills with color as scans progress. A hidden tray reveals more features, but you won't be overwhelmed by what you find like you might be with Qihoo 360 Security. Kaspersky's array of tools is limited, and that's perfectly fine in an age of sprawling, bloated Android security apps.

Like all other Android security apps, Internet Security automatically scans each and every app as soon as you install it on your device, whether it's via Google Play store or you sideloaded it. To check Kaspersky's malware detection, I installed the EICAR app, which is harmless but is detected by antivirus software for testing purposes. Kaspersky detected the app almost immediately after I installed it.

Kaspserky Internet Security (for Android) is able to find out how well it protects against real world threats, I rely on the work of independent research labs. The AV-Test Institute is one such lab, and its July report found that Kaspersky detected 99.9 percent of 3,336 malicious apps in real time. AV Comparatives, another independent lab, had similar results in March. It reported that Kaspersky detected 99.6 percent of 4,523 malicious apps. That's some pretty stellar protection.

In older versions, Kaspersky took nearly 20 minutes to complete a scan of an Android phone. Thankfully, that's no longer the case. With 12 apps running in the background, Kaspersky took an average of 89 seconds to complete a Full Scan and 58 seconds to complete a Fast Scan on my Nexus 6. Note that your first scan will probably take significantly longer, and that a phone loaded with apps will take longer to scan.
